Social Solidarity min., Qatari amb. discuss boosting bilateral co-operation
Egyptian
Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsy discussed with Qatar’s ambassador in
Cairo and its permanent representative to the Arab League Tariq Ali means of
enhancing co-operation between the Social Solidarity Ministry, the Regulatory
Authority for Charitable Activities, and the Qatar Charity in a number of
development fields related to social care, orphan sponsorship, health,
education, and economic empowerment sectors.
During the meeting,
the minister welcomed the Qatari diplomat and his accompanying delegation,
underlining the distinguished ties binding the two countries’ governments and
peoples.
The minister was briefed
on all the work carried out by the Charitable Regulatory Authority and the
Qatar Charity inside and outside Qatar.
The Qatar Charity
provides services in 70 countries around the world, and has 33 field offices in
a number of countries, and spending $400 million annually.
The Qatari
delegation is scheduled to visit a number of development projects, affiliated
to the Social Solidarity Ministry.
