Cairo gov. inspects Ahmad Zaki, Fayyoum Streets
Cairo Governor Ibrahim
Saber conducted an inspection tour of Ahmad Zaki and Fayyoum streets to follow
up on the ongoing development work.
The governor said the
intensive inspection campaigns to prevent illegal parking in collaboration with
Cairo Traffic come as a response to the complaints from the residents of Ahmad
Zaki Street in Dar El-Salam and Basatin districts that extend to Sawaras Square
in Maadi district regarding cleanliness and traffic congestion.
Additionally,
the campaign included removing dilapidated vehicles and street occupancies and
improving cleanliness. As a result, the street now experiences smoother
traffic flow, and work is underway to enhance the sidewalks, lighting, curbs,
and landscaping.
Saber also
urged district chiefs to conduct daily inspection tours to follow up on development
work and prevent the return of street occupancies.
The
governor was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Ashraf Mansour, Assistant Secretary-General
Yahia Adgham, several district chiefs, and executives of the Cairo governorate.
