About

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber witnessed the Climate Change Forum held by the Higher Institute of Applied Arts in the 5th Settlement neighborhood in conjunction with the "COP30" held in Brazil in November.

Governor Saber also inspected the Fine Arts exhibition held on the sidelines of the forum and honored the winning students and participants in its activities.

The governor was accompanied by Dr. Karima Abdel Karim, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Chinese University and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Humanitarian Association for the Advancement of Society—owner of the New Cairo Institutes in the 5th Settlement neighborhood —as well as Dr. Essam Ibrahim, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Chinese University, and Dr. Sohair Othman, Dean of the Higher Institute of Applied Arts in the 5th  Settlement neighborhood.

Governor Saber expressed his happiness at being among the students, emphasizing that climate change represents a major global crisis and that everyone must cooperate to overcome it.

During his meeting with the students, Saber reviewed the state's efforts to revitalize Cairo, particularly in its historical and heritage areas. He also expressed support for establishing a cooperation protocol between the institute and the governorate in the fields of community development, environmental protection, and afforestation.
