Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor
of Cairo, confirmed the closure of all election committees in the capital and
the start of counting work.
He pointed out that the
2025 House of Representatives elections proceeded without obstacles, and the
central operations room did not receive any complaints throughout the two days
of voting.
This came during the Cairo
Governor's chairmanship of the central operations room in the governorate,
which was set up inside the control center of the National Emergency and Public
Safety Network in Cairo Governorate, in the presence of the governor's deputies
for the four regions and representatives of all parties concerned with the
electoral process.
The number of eligible
voters in Cairo Governorate reached 8,621,305 voters, distributed across 19
main committees, which include 724 subcommittees inside 334 polling centers.
