Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber received Coptic Catholic Patriarch of Alexandria
Ibrahim Isaac and his accompanying delegation at his office. Patriarch
Ibrahim Isaac congratulated Governor Saber on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr
celebration.
The delegation
included Anba Pachomius, the Patriarchal Vicar for the Affairs of the
Patriarchal Eparchies; Archpriest Francis Noir, Pastor of the Heart of Jesus
Church in Heliopolis; Archpriest George Soliman, Pastor of the Holy Family
Church in Matareya; Dr. Gamil Halim, Legal Representative of the Patriarchate
and President of Caritas; Wahid Naguib, Chairman of the Association of Upper
Egypt for Education and Development; and Mariam Shawki, the Legal
Representative of the Patriarchate.
The meeting
addressed strengthening the bonds of affection and understanding between the
two sides. They also discussed ways to foster cooperation between the
governorate and the church to enhance community participation efforts.
During the meeting, Saber
praised the positive role of the Catholic Church in supporting development
efforts in the governorate.
