Dr. Ibrahim
Saber, the Governor of Cairo, inaugurated the "Cairo Forth Bazaar… Ahlan
Ramadan" exhibition at the Urban Market Complex in the 10th District of
Nasr City, which is held by the governorate from 13-17 February.
During the
inauguration, Saber stated that the exhibition aligns with President Abdel
Fattah El-Sisi's directives to alleviate the burdens on citizens and to
organize "Ahlan Ramadan" exhibitions in advance of the holy month of
Ramadan to ensure the availability of essential goods in one location at
affordable prices suitable for all social classes.
Moreover, Saber said
there is strict control over prices at the "Ahlan Ramadan"
exhibitions to ensure that citizens are not exploited. Additionally, legal
measures are being implemented against any attempts to raise prices or
monopolize goods.
Saber added that the
governorate continues to establish and expand outlets throughout Cairo. He
noted that the bazaar features over 250 exhibitors, including the Ministry of
Supply (the Holding Company for Food Industries) and the Ministry of
Agriculture. These exhibitors provide a wide range of essential commodities,
including food items such as rice, oil, pasta, sugar, vegetables, fruits, meat,
and poultry. Additionally, they offer Ramadan supplies, dates, honey,
dairy products, cheeses, legumes, high-quality spices, clothing, shoes, and
household items, all at competitive prices.
The bazaar also
features a significant number of artisans who specialize in handmade products.
The governor was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Mona Batrawi, Director of
Cairo’s Supply Directorate Naser Thabet, and Chief of the Madinet Nasr
District, Gouda.
