The government attaches special importance to the sports sector through adopting all strategies and policies, which contribute to enhancing this sector, said the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC).

This came in a report issued by the IDSC, which shed light on the remarkable improvement witnessed on the sports sector, especially in the past few years.

The report also pointed out to the modernization of the sports infrastructure in line with the development projects.

Regarding the State’s efforts in enhancing the sports sector, the total cost of developing the sports infrastructure reached about LE416.49 million during 2023, said the report.

The report also said that the cost of developing sports facilities, including building equipment, amounted to about LE117.98 million in 2023, compared to LE43.26 million in 2022.
