Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber met with
members of the Tree Lovers Association and representatives of the residents of
the Maadi neighborhood.
The meeting
addressed the role of civil society in developing and enhancing the Maadi
neighborhood in cooperation with the executive bodies of the governorate,
aiming to preserve the identity of Maadi as one of the heritage sites.
These collaborative
efforts also include increasing tree planting, improving lighting efficiency,
organizing advertisement banners, removing violations, and preserving
architectural-style buildings to maintain the heritage, culture, and
environment of the Maadi neighborhood.
During the meeting,
Governor Saber commended the role of civil society, represented by NGOs and
businessmen, in cooperating with the governorate to execute its development
plans and initiatives to serve the community, bring about change to improve the
living conditions of citizens, and preserve the cultural heritage of the
capital.
The meeting was
attended by the Chief of Maadi District, Tarek El-Behairy, and representatives
of the Maadi Tree Lovers Association, Asmaa El-Halwagi, Leila Hussein, and
Gamal El-Aguizy.
