Cairo Gov. reviews construction violation reconciliation in the capital
30 September 2024
About

Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber held an extensive meeting attended by deputy governors, the secretary-general, the assistant secretary-general, district chiefs, and officials of spatial changes and property in the governorate and districts. The meeting discussed progress rates of constriction violation reconciliation requests, spatial variables, removing encroachment cases, and the legalization of reconciliation requests.

During the meeting, Saber asserted that the state is working to provide all necessary facilitations and support to legalize the situations of all citizens who are serious about building violations reconciliation.

Saber also asserted continuous monitoring of the reconciliation file to accelerate performance rates, follow up on the workflow and achievement rates in each district across the governorate, and evaluate performance rates.

Moreover, Saber stressed the need to overcome obstacles to complete the necessary procedures so that citizens and the state obtain their rights in accordance with the laws, executive regulations, and relevant decisions. He also urged district chiefs to simplify procedures for citizens in a way that serves the public interest.

Saber said citizens who submitted applications for reconciliation on building violations under the reconciliation law issued in 2019 paid the reconciliation fee and received Form no.3 should head to the nearest citizen service technology center to complete the procedures for their previous reconciliation requests, which is necessary to regularize their status following the current law no.187/2023, considering the facilities provided by the new law to protect their rights and serve the public interest of both the state and citizens. Otherwise, the governorate will strictly take legal action to protect the state's rights.

Saber added citizens who have not submitted reconciliation requests should head to the nearest citizen service technology centers to obtain a data certificate to proceed with the reconciliation procedures for building violations following the current law.

Furthermore, Saber called on district chiefs to coordinate with the Spatial Changes Management Department in the governorate to monitor any violations and remove them immediately. He also urged strict action against all forms of illegal construction or encroachments on state-owned lands, whether belonging to the governorate or other authorities such as irrigation and agriculture.

Saber also directed that necessary measures must be taken to prevent their recurrence and preserve all restored lands.

Saber also ordered rapid completion of the reconciliation requests to protect citizens' rights while simultaneously ensuring that the rights of the state are not compromised.
