Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber, accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Ibrahim Abdel Hadi, Head of the National Organization for Urban Harmony Mohammad Abu Saada, and several officials of the Urban Harmony Organization and Cairo governorate, conducted an inspection tour of the downtown area.
During his tour, Saber asserted the Cairo governorate’s commitment to developing and preserving the Khedivial Cairo area, urging executive bodies to remove encroachments, improve its visual appearance, and coordinate the public spaces.
The Cairo Khedive Development Project aims to create a qualitative shift in downtown Cairo by enhancing its visual image and amplifying its architectural identity. That will be done by preserving the distinctive facades of its buildings, removing distortions that have affected those facades, and displaying shop signs in a manner consistent with the overall character of the area.
